Ze Creamery in Baguio

It was my brother’s birthday so we decided to try this new place called “Ze Creamery”. It is located in Bukaneg St. Legarda Road, Baguio City. The place is quite different to find but it is worth the try. What caught my attention when I heard about this place is their gigantic servings! The main reason why we actually wanted to try the place.

The first thing that came to mind as I entered the restaurant was the lack of space. The place is small and a bit crowded for a small number of customers, walk way was also a problem. Although besides the space everything was on point, the food, the service, and the price.

We ordered their best sellers, their Monster Burger (P328), Pizza Pullover (P288), Sriracha wings (P180), Fries (P108), and Monster Mugs (P250-P280).

I enjoyed their fries, it has a flavorful powder on it. I can’t pinpoint the exact flavor but it tastes like a sweet bbq/ sour cream powder.

Their Monster Burger is made of Half a kilo of pure beef patty, melted cheese and caramelized onions in an 8-inch thick bun, with fries on the side.

Their Sriracha Wings, one of the best wings I have ever tasted in town. It just feels like an explosion on your taste buds.

The Monster Mugs, they have quite a selection of flavors and all of them are gigantic plus it will definitely give you a sugar rush. The presentation is great definitely social media worthy.img_0577

The Pizza pullover is also delicious it is more on the tomato sauce flavored side, it come with vegetables and potato chips plus salsa sauce, I guess.

Ready to chow!

Over all the place is awesome for food lovers out there despite the lack in space. The food is definitely worth the price and you will definitely leave the place with a satisfied and full stomach.

That’s all for this blog, ’til the next lakwatsa…

This place is the first stop of our gastronomical adventure in San Juan, I have to say as soon as I arrived here I was already impressed by the ambiance. I ordered their Pork Ribs, P300 and Alex ordered their Chicken Kebab, P220 (i think). Yup, the food is quite pricey but if you are into Greek flavors the price is definitely worth it.

Gastronomical San Juan – Flotsam and Jetsam

Flotsam and Jetsam, a hostel and food place at one end of the beach. It is a family owned hostel that serves as a chill spot for all kinds of tourists. It offers accommodation and a kitchen bar that is open for all. The place is heavily decorated with random colorful objects giving off a hippie vibe to the place.IMG_0318.JPG

The moment I stepped in to the place, it gave off a very relaxing ambiance. The place offered good music as well as good food. You can choose to eat at the kitchen bar seats, or chill on an open bed or even better, sit on bean bags on the sandy beachfront.

The place offered Macai bowls, cold drinks and many more. We ordered a macai bowl and fruit shakes and decided to sit on the bean bags while talking with each other, listening to music and staring at the beach. The food is quite pricey but the ambiance paid it all off.IMG_0282.JPG

Would definitely come back again, hopefully we would be able to book a room before it’s all sold out.

the lakwatsa continues..

Gastronomical San Juan – Mad Monkeys

Mad Monkeys is a small burger stall located in Urbiztondo, San Juan. It is famous for its different takes on burger. The place offers good food, open space, and good music as well. img_0346img_0347

We ordered the S.O.S burger and the Smoked BBQ burger, both of the burgers are flavored differently. The S.O.S burger is on the onion flavored side, it has regular patty, onion sauce and onion rings. The Smoked BBQ burger has bacon, special BBQ sauce and a regular patty.

The food may not be the most photogenic food and it may be the messiest thing to eat but the taste is a party in you mouth. With regards to pricing, it maybe on the pricier side but again with the flavors and the chill vibes, it is definitely worth the money.

And once again, the lakwatsa continues…

Gastronomical San Juan – Choka

Finally, the last food joint we visited, CHOKA, it is one of the newest food joint in San Juan. It is an American themed food spot, that serves the all american comfort food, from ribs to fries, from hot wings to burgers, they have it all. So if you’re craving for American comfort food that’s flavorful and come in massive servings, this is the place to go.

Well, we were supposed to go to Surf Shack but the place is still closed, so we headed to Choka instead. What captured my attention aside from the food are the paintings on the wall, although I’m not an artsy kind of person, I was impressed with this simple paintings.

We ordered buffalo wings, ribs and cheese fries, also ordered drinks, lemon cucumber juice and brewed coffee, when the food came we were shocked with the amount of serving that was on the plate, it was huge. LOL! Flavors were great, super worth it. After all that food, I was super full, satisfied and ready to go.img_0451

And this is where the lakwatsa for this day ends, ’til the next lakwatsa.
